To all LMLL Volunteers,
First, please accept my thanks in your commitment to the League and the kids. Without you, it wouldn’t be possible to provide the community with outstanding youth baseball season after season.
1. Background Check - You will be sent a link to the background check when you register as a volunteer through the Lake Murray Little League Website. This should be your first priority. No one should be on the field without a background check. Please register as a volunteer on our website today so we can begin the process.
2. Skills and Safety Clinics - These clinics are good for three years. If you are a new volunteer there will be a few opportunities to attend these clinics in person. One Manager/Coach per team needs to have this updated yearly, especially those in upper divisions. If one manager/coach on the field for tournaments does NOT have this, you will forfeit your game.
3. Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training - This is a one-time, 20 minute training on Sudden Cardiac Arrest in youth sports. Please complete this free training and forward your completion certificate to me via email.
4. Concussion Training - This is a one-time, 20 minute training on Concussion Protocol in Youth Sports. Please complete this free training and forward your completion certificate to me via email.
5. Abuse Awareness Training - This is a yearly- 20 minute online training. Please complete this free training and forward your completion certificate to me via email.
6. Little League Diamond Leader Training - Little League Diamond Leader Training Program is a FREE educational resource that provides coaches with an understanding of the impact that mental, social, and emotional well-being has in youth sports through detailed information, interactive scenarios, and a variety of additional resources. Beneficial for all Little League coaches and volunteers to participate in, completion of the program will be required for all tournament coaches beginning with the 2023 tournament season*.
